Job Description

The Storekeeper manages the receipt, storage, organization and issue of food, beverages, operating supplies and equipment. Requirements typically include previous experience in hotel stores, warehousing, inventory control or a related area; basic computer and record-keeping skills; physical ability to lift and move stock; and good knowledge of safe storage practices. The successful candidate is expected to check deliveries against purchase orders, maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular inventories, monitor expiry dates, keep storage areas clean and secure, and issue supplies to authorized departments. Reliability, honesty, attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, are important.
