Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers extensive opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, tourism, retail, healthcare, technology, and professional services. Hospitality work is especially common in London, major cities, coastal destinations, and country-house resorts such as Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire. British workplace culture generally values punctuality, politeness, personal responsibility, teamwork, and clear communication. Lifestyle varies widely: the UK has lively cities, historic towns, countryside, and excellent public transport, though housing and living costs can be high, particularly around London and the southeast. Non-UK nationals normally need the appropriate visa and permission to work before starting employment. Hospitality roles may not always qualify for employer sponsorship, so applicants should check current Skilled Worker rules and the employer's sponsorship status. Relocating usually requires a passport, visa, accommodation, a UK bank account, a National Insurance number, and a realistic budget for rent, transport, and deposits.
