United Kingdom St. Ermin's Hotel Autograph Collection Approximately £27,000–£31,000 per year, potentially including service charge or performance-related benefits*
Job Description

The Reservations Agent manages individual and group room bookings, responds to enquiries by phone and email, explains rates and hotel facilities, processes amendments and cancellations, and supports accurate availability and revenue control. Candidates are generally expected to have customer-service or hotel reservations experience, strong communication skills, good attention to detail, and confidence using booking or property-management systems. A professional telephone manner, sales awareness, numerical accuracy, and the ability to remain calm during busy periods are important. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts may be required. Knowledge of Marriott standards, London tourism, and additional languages would be advantageous.

Company Info

St. Ermin’s Hotel, part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, is a distinctive luxury hotel in central London. Located near St James’s Park, Westminster, and Victoria, the property combines historic architecture with contemporary hospitality and is known for its elegant rooms, meeting facilities, restaurants, and event spaces. As an Autograph Collection hotel, it promotes an individual character rather than a standardised design, while benefiting from Marriott’s global systems, training, career development, and employee benefits. The hotel welcomes international leisure travellers, business guests, groups, and event clients. Its teams typically work across front office, reservations, food and beverage, housekeeping, sales, and events, with a strong focus on personal service, operational standards, and creating memorable guest experiences.

Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers hotel, restaurant, tourism, events, and customer-service opportunities, particularly in London and other major visitor destinations. Workplace culture is generally professional, punctual, service-focused, and respectful of personal boundaries, with diverse international teams common in hospitality. London provides excellent public transport, cultural attractions, nightlife, and career progression, although rent and daily expenses are high. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. British and Irish citizens, people with settled or pre-settled status, and holders of suitable work visas may qualify. Employer sponsorship for an entry-level reservations position is not usually guaranteed, so candidates should check current Home Office rules and the employer’s sponsorship policy. Relocating normally requires arranging accommodation, a National Insurance number, a UK bank account, and a realistic budget for deposits, transport, and living costs.
