The Deep Cleaning Room Attendant is responsible for detailed cleaning and restoration of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and other designated areas to The London EDITION’s luxury standards. Duties include deep-cleaning furnishings, fixtures, carpets and hard-to-reach areas, replenishing supplies, reporting maintenance issues and following health, safety and chemical-handling procedures. Candidates should be physically fit, observant, reliable and comfortable working independently or as part of a housekeeping team. Previous hotel or cleaning experience is useful but may not be essential. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, discretion, punctuality and excellent personal presentation, while delivering consistent service in a fast-paced environment.
The London EDITION is a luxury lifestyle hotel in central London, part of the EDITION Hotels brand operated by Marriott International. Located near Fitzrovia and Soho, the hotel combines contemporary design, distinctive restaurants and bars, stylish guest rooms, event spaces and a service culture focused on personal, memorable experiences. EDITION properties are known for blending the character of their location with modern hospitality and a strong emphasis on design, food, music and nightlife. Employees typically work in a diverse, international environment with access to Marriott training, career development and global hotel opportunities. As a major hospitality employer, Marriott provides structured standards and benefits, although specific pay, schedules and benefits depend on the role, employment contract and UK policies.
The United Kingdom offers broad opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, healthcare, technology, finance and skilled trades, with London providing especially strong hospitality employment. British culture values politeness, privacy, punctuality and a clear separation between work and personal life, while London is highly multicultural. The lifestyle offers excellent public transport, museums, theatres, shopping and historic destinations, though housing and everyday costs in London are high. Overseas applicants usually need the legal right to work, commonly through a Skilled Worker visa, but many entry-level housekeeping roles may not qualify for sponsorship. Check the latest UK visa rules, salary thresholds and eligible occupation lists before accepting an offer. Plan for accommodation, National Insurance, tax, banking and travel costs, and confirm whether the employer provides staff meals, uniform, relocation help or accommodation.
