Job Description

The Steward supports the kitchen and food-and-beverage operation by washing dishes, cookware, utensils and glassware; cleaning kitchen areas and equipment; removing waste; and maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards. Candidates should be physically fit, dependable and comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting supplies and working in a fast-paced hotel environment. Previous stewarding, kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful but may not be essential. The successful candidate is expected to follow food-safety procedures, use cleaning chemicals safely, work cooperatively with chefs and service teams, maintain punctual attendance and keep work areas orderly. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required in an all-inclusive resort.
