DIVE INSTRUCTOR(S) WANTED – MALDIVES

Maldives Global Dive Jobs $1,200–$2,000/month, often with commission, tips, meals, accommodation, and travel benefits*
Job Description

Global Dive Jobs is seeking qualified dive instructors for opportunities in the Maldives. Candidates should hold a recognized instructor-level certification, such as PADI or SSI, with current professional membership, first-aid and CPR training, and relevant teaching experience. Experience guiding recreational dives, conducting certification courses, working with international guests, and maintaining high safety standards is expected. Familiarity with local marine conditions, strong communication skills, and a friendly, professional attitude are important. Candidates should be medically fit for diving, adaptable to resort or liveaboard schedules, and comfortable working as part of a multicultural team. Additional languages, specialties, boat experience, and knowledge of marine conservation may be advantageous.

Company Info

Global Dive Jobs is a specialist employment platform serving the international scuba-diving and marine-tourism industry. It connects dive professionals—including instructors, divemasters, boat crew, technicians, and resort staff—with operators, dive centers, liveaboards, and resorts around the world. The Maldives vacancies promoted through the platform may represent opportunities with individual local dive centers or resort operators rather than employment directly with Global Dive Jobs. Listings can help candidates identify available positions, understand general requirements, and contact the relevant employer. Applicants should confirm the hiring company, contract terms, salary, benefits, working schedule, accommodation, visa sponsorship, and insurance before accepting an offer. The platform is particularly useful for professionals seeking seasonal or international work in established diving destinations.

Destination Guide

The Maldives is a dispersed Indian Ocean nation made up of small coral islands, with most diving jobs based at private resort islands or aboard liveaboards. Opportunities are strongest for PADI or SSI instructors, divemasters, marine biologists, boat crew, watersports staff, and hospitality workers. Life is tropical and relaxed but can be isolated, with long working days, humid weather, and limited shopping or nightlife on resort islands. Maldivian culture is predominantly Muslim, so respectful dress and behavior are expected, especially on local islands. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and employment approval; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers commonly arrange accommodation, meals, airport transfers, and permit processing, but terms vary. Candidates should confirm medical insurance, flights, contract length, leave, and emergency arrangements before relocating.
