Company Info

Carnival Cruise Line is one of the world’s best-known cruise brands and a major part of Carnival Corporation & plc. Founded in 1972, the company operates a large fleet serving vacation destinations across the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska, Europe, and other regions. Carnival focuses on accessible, fun-oriented holidays, offering accommodation, dining, entertainment, shore excursions, and family activities at sea. Its corporate operations include sales, marketing, revenue management, technology, finance, guest services, marine operations, and ship management. The company employs thousands of people both onboard its vessels and in shoreside offices, including its headquarters in Miami, Florida. Carnival promotes teamwork, guest-focused service, operational excellence, and career opportunities across the global cruise industry.

Destination Guide

A cruise career offers opportunities in guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, entertainment, retail, photography, marine operations, security, sales, and administration. Life onboard is multicultural and energetic, with employees working alongside colleagues from many countries while visiting different islands and coastal destinations. Accommodation and meals are commonly provided, but schedules can be demanding, contracts may last several months, and personal space is limited. Most shipboard employees need a valid passport, medical clearance, background checks, safety training, and an appropriate maritime or crew visa, depending on the ship’s itinerary and nationality. Visas and travel arrangements are usually coordinated with the employer or an authorized recruiting agency. Shoreside positions, such as this sales administration role in Miami, normally require standard U.S. work authorization and may involve relocation costs. Candidates should verify contract terms, visa requirements, wages, and agency legitimacy before accepting an offer.
