Destination Guide

Working on a cruise is different from living on one island: your workplace travels between ports and destinations. Opportunities include hospitality, guest services, food and beverage, entertainment, marine operations, technology, sales, and corporate roles such as consumer analytics. Cruise life is multicultural and social, with long working hours, shared accommodation for many shipboard employees, and limited personal space, but it offers travel, structured living, meals, and opportunities to meet people worldwide. Ports may include Caribbean islands, Mexico, Alaska, Europe, and other regions depending on the itinerary. Shoreside roles in Miami generally follow a more conventional city lifestyle, with access to diverse neighborhoods, beaches, restaurants, and international communities. Shipboard employees usually need a valid passport, medical clearance, background checks, and a company-sponsored seafarer or work visa where required. Relocation to Miami may require U.S. work authorization, housing planning, and budgeting for transportation and living costs.
