Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, and other resort islands, with demand for experienced leaders in hotels, restaurants, tourism, and events. Bali is the most international and lifestyle-oriented destination, while Jakarta and Surabaya provide larger corporate markets. Local culture values courtesy, community, family, and religious diversity; respectful dress and behavior are important. Lifestyle choices range from busy city living to relaxed beaches, with traffic, humidity, and seasonal tourism affecting daily life. Foreign employees normally require employer sponsorship for a work permit and KITAS, and should not begin work before approvals are complete. Employers may assist with accommodation, flights, insurance, tax administration, and relocation, but packages vary. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, housing, schooling, leave, and repatriation terms in writing before accepting an offer.
