Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago with diverse destinations, including Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Hospitality opportunities are strongest in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao, and other resort areas, with jobs in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events, and marine activities. Filipino culture is friendly, family-oriented, and respectful, and English is widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to relaxed island communities; living costs are generally lower outside Manila, although resort locations can be expensive. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate visa, while Filipino citizens can relocate domestically without visa requirements. New employees should confirm housing, transport, medical coverage, taxes, and contract terms before moving. Major islands are connected by domestic flights and ferries, but travel times and weather disruptions should be considered.
