Requirements typically include good computer literacy, accurate and efficient typing, attention to detail, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar systems. Previous administrative, clerical, retail, or hospitality experience is useful but may not be essential. Shangri-La Group is a leading luxury hospitality company headquartered in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts, residences, and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other international markets. Its hotel brands are known for personalised service, refined accommodation, dining, wellness facilities, and strong local connections. The company employs people across guest services, culinary operations, sales, administration, finance, technology, and corporate functions. Its workplace culture generally emphasises hospitality, teamwork, service excellence, cultural awareness, and professional development. A temporary data-entry role would typically support accurate administration behind a seasonal commercial campaign and provide exposure to the operations of a major international luxury-hospitality group.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers diverse opportunities in hospitality, retail, tourism, finance, technology, logistics, education, and professional services. Seasonal and temporary roles are common, especially around hotels, events, festive sales, and customer service. The culture is fast-paced, practical, and internationally minded, with Cantonese widely used and English important in business and hospitality; Mandarin is also valuable. Life combines dense urban neighbourhoods, excellent public transport, shopping, dining, nightlife, beaches, hiking trails, and outlying islands. Housing can be expensive, so many newcomers share accommodation or live in areas outside the central districts. Foreign nationals generally need an appropriate employment visa before starting work, normally sponsored by the employer; eligibility depends on qualifications, experience, salary, and the role. Temporary applicants should confirm visa duration and sponsorship, as short-term jobs may have limited eligibility. New arrivals should budget for rent, deposits, transport, healthcare, and daily expenses.
