Destination Guide

Hong Kong is a vibrant international city made up of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, beaches and hiking trails. Hospitality, property management, engineering, finance, technology, retail and healthcare provide regular employment opportunities. The culture combines Chinese traditions with international influences, and Cantonese is widely spoken, while English is common in hotels and business settings. Life is fast-paced and convenient, although accommodation and daily expenses can be high, particularly on Hong Kong Island. Overseas professionals normally require an employment visa sponsored by a Hong Kong employer, and the role must meet immigration requirements regarding qualifications and salary. Candidates should prepare verified documents, medical or background checks where requested, and a valid passport. Relocation is easier with employer support for accommodation guidance, transport and visa processing. Typhoons and humid summers are part of the local climate.
