Job Description

The Order Taker – In Room Dining is responsible for answering guest calls, accurately recording food and beverage orders, explaining menu items, confirming delivery details, and coordinating with the kitchen and room service team. Candidates should have good spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage. Previous experience in hotel food and beverage, room service, telephone order taking, or customer service is preferred. The role requires strong communication, listening, computer, and multitasking skills, together with a polite and professional telephone manner. The successful candidate is expected to remain calm during busy periods, maintain accuracy, follow hygiene and service standards, and provide warm, efficient service consistent with Shangri-La hospitality.
