Job Description

The Cook II (Pastry) supports the pastry kitchen by preparing breads, cakes, desserts, pastries and other baked products according to Shangri-La standards. Candidates are generally expected to have formal culinary training or relevant pastry experience, strong knowledge of baking methods, food safety and hygiene, and the ability to follow recipes accurately. The role requires attention to detail, creativity, good organisation and physical stamina, including standing for long periods. The successful candidate should work well in a multicultural team, maintain a clean and safe workstation, manage preparation schedules and consistently deliver high-quality products during busy service periods. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required.
