The Steward is responsible for washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, cutlery, cookware and kitchen equipment, while keeping the stewarding area clean, organised and safe. The role may include waste handling, replenishing kitchen supplies and supporting chefs and service teams during busy periods. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable and comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced hotel environment. Basic hygiene and food-safety awareness, teamwork, attention to detail and a willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays are expected. Previous hotel, restaurant or stewarding experience is helpful but may not be essential, as training is commonly provided.

Hong Kong offers plentiful opportunities in hotels, restaurants, catering, retail, logistics, finance and professional services, especially for people with hospitality experience. Its culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences; workplaces are generally fast-paced, respectful and multilingual, with English widely used in hotels. Lifestyle is energetic, convenient and urban, with excellent public transport, varied food, hiking trails, beaches and lively neighbourhoods. Housing is expensive, so shared accommodation or staff housing can be important. Overseas employees normally need an employer-sponsored work visa, and the employer must show that the role and applicant meet immigration requirements. Bring valid travel documents, qualifications and employment records, and confirm accommodation, medical coverage and contract terms before relocating. Hong Kong is highly connected, but working hours in hospitality may include shifts, weekends and holidays.
