Job Description

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, checking, recording, storing and issuing hotel supplies, including food, beverages, operating equipment and general consumables. Requirements typically include secondary education, previous experience in hotel stores, warehousing or inventory control, basic computer and stock-recording skills, and familiarity with safe storage and stock rotation procedures. The successful candidate should be organized, physically fit, dependable and able to work accurately in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays are expected. Knowledge of FIFO procedures, inventory systems and workplace safety is an advantage.
