Job Description

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the planning and daily operation of restaurants, bars, banquets, and other dining outlets. Requirements typically include a diploma or degree in hospitality, food and beverage, or a related field, along with several years of hotel or restaurant experience, including supervisory responsibility. Strong knowledge of service standards, guest relations, staffing, cost control, hygiene, and Malaysian regulations is expected. The successful candidate should be confident leading teams, coordinating with kitchen and hotel departments, handling guest concerns, monitoring revenues and expenses, and maintaining Shangri-La service standards. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays is essential, as well as good English communication and professional presentation.
