The group operates properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other international markets under brands including Shangri-La, Kerry Hotels, JEN by Shangri-La, and Traders. Its business covers luxury accommodation, dining, meetings and events, wellness, and residential developments. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on warm hospitality, personalized guest experiences, responsible business practices, and cultural connection. Hong Kong remains an important base for the company and offers access to its regional leadership, marketing, commercial, and operational functions.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong is a compact international city and coastal territory rather than a single island, combining dense urban districts with beaches, hiking trails, outlying islands, and mountain landscapes. It offers strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, technology, retail, logistics, professional services, and marketing, with major hotel groups maintaining regional offices there. The culture blends Cantonese traditions, Chinese festivals, international influences, and fast-paced city living. Residents enjoy excellent public transport, diverse restaurants, shopping, nightlife, hiking, and easy regional travel, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Foreign professionals generally need an employment visa sponsored by a Hong Kong employer; applications commonly require a confirmed role, suitable qualifications, relevant experience, and proof that the position cannot readily be filled locally. Candidates should arrange housing, health coverage, banking, and document authentication before relocating.
