Destination Guide

Japan offers employment opportunities in logistics, manufacturing, technology, hospitality, healthcare, education, retail, and international business. Major areas include Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, and regional industrial hubs. Japanese workplace culture values punctuality, teamwork, respect, attention to detail, and indirect communication, although international companies may use more flexible practices. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to quieter coastal and rural communities. Public transport is excellent in large cities, while a car may be useful outside them. Foreign workers usually need an appropriate work visa sponsored by an employer; common routes include Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services, Skilled Worker, and Highly Skilled Professional visas. Check current immigration rules before moving. Budget for rent, deposits, transport, health insurance, taxes, and language study. Learning Japanese improves daily life and career opportunities.
