Job Summary

The Group IT Manager oversees the strategic direction, daily operations, security, and maintenance of the entire IT infrastructure for AAA & Trading Company. Based at the Head Office, this role manages corporate systems, the retail/trading division (3A Stores), and the IT infrastructure across three resort properties: Medhufushi Island Resort, Hondaafushi Island Resort, and Filitheyo Island Resort. The role manages decentralized resort IT teams to ensure seamless technology integration across all business units.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

1. Group Infrastructure & Network Management

• Multi-Site Connectivity: Maintain, optimize, and secure the WAN/LAN networks connecting the Head Office, 3A Stores, and all three island resorts.
• Server Management: Oversee configuration, maintenance, security, and software patches for all physical and virtual servers.
• Data Security & Backup: Direct group-wide cybersecurity protocols, firewall configurations, and robust automated backup/disaster recovery systems for all locations.
• Telecommunications: Administer and troubleshoot IP Phone systems across Head Office and resort properties.

2. Hospitality Technology Management (Resorts)

• Property Management Systems: Oversee Opera PMS functionality, updates, user access, and database integrity across all three resorts.
• Point of Sale (POS): Manage Micros configurations, menu syncing, and terminal hardware for resort food and beverage outlets.
• Cost Control: Supervise MC (Materials Control) for accurate resort inventory management and costing integration.
• Guest Experience Systems: Ensure high uptime for IPTV networks, guest Wi-Fi infrastructure, and entertainment systems.
• Physical Security: Manage resort-wide IP surveillance and security camera systems.

3. Corporate & Trade Technology Management (Head Office & 3A Stores)

• Financial & ERP Systems: Oversee and support Sage ERP software for corporate accounting and trading operations.
• Human Resources: Maintain and support the Group HRMS (Human Resources Management System).
• Retail Operations: Direct and support the inventory management software and POS systems utilized by the trading section, 3A Stores.
• User Support: Provide high-level software support, hardware troubleshooting, and technical assistance for HO executives, trade staff, and employees.

4. Procurement & Vendor Management

• IT Purchasing: Evaluate, negotiate, and approve all IT hardware, software licenses, and service contracts for the entire group.
• Vendor Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for external tech vendors including Oracle (Opera/Micros), Sage partners, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and local hardware suppliers.

Key Deliverables (Expected Outputs)

• 99.9% System Uptime: Ensure maximum availability of critical systems (Opera, Sage ERP, retail software, and networks).
• Backup Audits: Conduct monthly verified restoration tests of all corporate, retail, and resort backup systems.
• Budgeting: Formulate and track the annual IT CAPEX and OPEX budgets for AAA & Trading Company.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Formulate and maintain updated IT documentation and troubleshooting guides for the resort technicians.

Job Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of IT management experience, specifically within a multi-property hospitality and trading/retail environment.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Opera PMS, Micros, Sage ERP, Windows/Linux Server environments, enterprise networking, and IP surveillance.
• Leadership: Strong track record of managing remote teams across different island locations.
